Daywise Itinerary

Day 1. wahati Airport/Kamakya Railway Station to Bhalukpong Transfer

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, Transfer to Balukpong (4 hours 53min, 241km). Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Brahmaputra River en route to Balukpong.

⦁ Bhalukpong: A small town in Arunachal Pradesh famous for its lush green forest and scenic beauty. This place is famous for river rafting, hiking, trekking, and angling. This place is best for nature lovers and adventurous seekers.

Day 2. Bhalukpong to Dirang Transfer

Today move towards Dirang (4 h 43 min (139.1 km)).

⦁ The small village is the best place for nature lovers and travel enthusiasts offers the best view of surrounding valleys, rivers, and mountains.

⦁ It is also famous for its sheep breeding farms, natural hot springs apple orchards. On the way visit these famous attractions;

⦁ Sessa Orchid Sanctuary Dirang dzong

Day 3.Dirang to Tawang Transfer via Sela Pass

Today move towards the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, Tawang 4 h 49 min (128.8 km). You need to go Tawang through the Dirang River for 10 kms and then the road climbs towards the famous Sela Pass.

⦁ Sela pass – It is Situated at an elevation of 13,700 feet one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Sela Pass has snow-covered mountains throughout the year making it the must-visit place of Arunachal Pradesh.

Day 4. Tawang -PTSO Lake, Bumla Pass, and Madhuri Lake Sightseeing

Today visit the famous attractions of Tawang which include;

⦁ PTSO Lake: Pangang Teng Tso Lake is located on the way to Bum La Pass in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, near the Indo-China border.

⦁ Bumla Pass: Bumla Pass is located at a high altitude in Tawang close to the China border. It is situated at 5,300 m (17,400 above sea level. Visitors have to pay Rs 5500 for a permit to visit.

⦁ Madhurai Lake: This lake is a famous spot for photography and sightseeing. Madhuri Lake is named after the Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit.

Note: To visit Bumla, you need to get a special permit and need to hire a different vehicle.

Day 5. Tawang to Bomdila Transfer

Today move towards Bomdila 5 h 51 min (171.3 km). On the way visit some attractions of Tawang.

⦁ The Tawang monastery- The Tawang monastery was founded by the Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso, following the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama, Nagwang Lobsang Gyatso, and has an interesting legend surrounding its name, which means “Chosen by Horse”.

⦁ War Memorial –Tawang War Memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of the Sino-India War, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlook the Tawang-Chu valley.

⦁ Nuranang Falls – The height of the waterfall is 100 meters; it is believed that the waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in India, yet is unknown to many travelers.

Day 6. Bomdila to Guwahati Transfer

Check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati. On the way, you can enjoy the beauty of nature and enjoy your ride. Check in to hotel overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 7. Guwahati to Guwahati Airport/Kamakya Railway Station
