Daywise Itinerary

Day 1. Guwahati airport/Kamakhya Railway station to Kaziranga

On your arrival at Guwahati airport / Kamakhya railway station our representative will receive you and transfer you to your respective hotel. Kaziranga is famous for One horned rhino, wild buffaloes, tiger and many other endangered species.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 2. Elephant Safari & Jeep Safari

Today will indulge ourselves with safari:

⦁ Elephant Safari: One can experience elephant safari with trained elephants.Most advantage of elephant safari is availability to approach close to nature and it starts around 6am – 8am and in afternoon 3pm-5pm. One can witness one horned rhino, wild water buffaloes and tiger.

⦁ Jeep Safari: Explore the wildlife of Assam and witness the pride of Assam’s one-horned Rhino, elephant, swamp deer, buffalo, and different species of birds. The price for the safari is payable on the spot.

Day 3. Transfer from Kaziranga to Shillong

Today will move towards Shillong which is approx 5-6 hours (265 km). Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya and it is known as Scotland of East. Shillong is surrounded by lush greens, lakes and pleasant climate.

Day 4. Trip to Laitlum canyon and Jowai

Today will visit Laitlum canyon and Jowai:

⦁ Laitlum Canyons: The phrase “End of Hills” or “Edge of the World” accurately describes the famous Laitlum Canyons which is located at great heights surrounded by rocky valleys and hills.

⦁ Jowai – Krang Suri Waterfall: The Krangshuri waterfall seen in southern Meghalaya has a distinct appearance of falling from the cliff which looks like a curtain that crashes over calm water.

Day 5. Shillong to Cherrapunjee Via Mawlynnong

Today will proceed towards Cherrapunjee which is 2 hour to reach (54km)
On the way will visit:

⦁ Mawlynnong village: Mawlynnong village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, is also known as ‘God’s own garden’. Guests will go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. Guests can also visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh Viewpoint and the longest Living Root Bridge.

⦁ Dawki and river Umngot – Dawki river is known for crystal clear waters in the river which is also famous on social media for its clear water. Visitors come here to enjoy local boating and on the way to Dawki they can also enjoy the view of Borhill Falls and Kyram Falls.

⦁ Single Decker Bridge – Single decker bridge is made from the aerial roots of rubber trees. The Khasi and Jaintia tribe people have made it a steady and grown bridge from the centuries. The single root bridge is referred to as a bridge which is made out of a single root of the tree.

Day 6. Cherrapunji Full Day Sightseeing

Today will explore Cherrapunjee sightsee including:

⦁ Nohkalikai Falls: Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. The waterfall is surrounded by Green cliffs, greenery. Nohkalikai is named after the khasi women

⦁ Seven Sisters Falls: Seven Sisters Falls is a vibrant spectacle. The falls are located on the top of cliffs of the Khasi Hills, but only during the rainy season.

⦁ Mawsmai Cave: A major northeast tourist attraction, the Mawsmai Cave is flocked by tourists throughout the year. Visit these surreal limestone constructions for a holistic holiday experience.

⦁ Arwah Cave: The Arwah Cave in Cherrapunjee is a magnificent spot for all nature lovers. One can spot a diverse range of flora and fauna amidst these limestone stacks.

⦁ Weisawdong Falls: A three-tiered waterfall located in Cherrapunjee.It is the most beautiful waterfall in Cherrapunjee if you are exploring Cherrapunjee you must visit Weisawdong Falls.

Day 7. Cherrapunji to Guwahati Airport/Kamakhya Railway Station

Check out by late morning or early afternoon depending on your flight timing, your driver will transfer you Airport in Guwahati, for your onwards journey carrying lots of memories of the scenic landscapes of Cherrapunji and Shillong and the wildlife of Kaziranga.
