Kaziranga - Meghalaya Tour:
4 Nights/ 5 days

Places covered: Kaziranga National Park, Mawlynnong Village, Single Root Bridge, Nohkalika Falls, Seven Sisters Falls etc.

Daywise Itinerary

Day 1. Guwahati Airport/ Kamakhya Railway Station to Kaziranga

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport/Kamakhya railway station, our  driver will pick you up and proceed to Shillong. Which takes almost 4-5hr to reach (223 km). Kaziranga is a most celebrated National park and renowned for one horned rhino and many endangered species. 

Overnight stay at kaziranga.

Early morning, we shall be going for Jeep Safari.

⦁ Jeep Safari:Jeep safari of Kaziranga is one the best activities to experience the wildlife and park. It provides an opportunity to visitors to explore various zones close to wildlife and scenic landscapes. One can witness the One horned rhino, Tiger, Leopard,wild buffaloes etc. Morning safari starts around 6:am to 9:am and afternoon safari starts around 1:30pm to 4:pm.

Note Jeep safari will be on extra cost on direct basis 

After the safari we shall proceed towards Shillong.

Overnight stay at Shillong.

Today will proceed towards Cherrapunji which takes almost 1-2hr (54km) to reach by road. Cherrapunji is known as Sohra also the place of clouds.

On the way will visit Mawlynnong, Dawki and Single decker:

⦁ Mawlynnong Village: Mawlynnong is renowned for its remarkable cleanliness. Waste is gathered in bamboo dustbins, then composted in a designated pit to be used as fertilizer. A community-driven effort ensures that every resident is involved in keeping the village clean.

⦁ Dawki River: You can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters that are popular on social media and even enjoy local boating. Along the way to Dawki, you’ll be treated to the stunning views of Borhill Falls and Kyram Falls.

⦁ Single Decker Bridge: Bridges around the world are celebrated as some of humanity’s greatest achievements, but the natural wonder of the Living Root Bridges in Meghalaya is truly astonishing. These incredible structures are carefully cultivated over time and stand out as major attractions in Meghalaya. The unique bridges, crafted from intertwined thick roots, are robust enough to support 50 or more people at once.

Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Today will have local sightseeing of cherrapunji which includes:

⦁ Nohkalikai Falls: Nohkalikai Falls is one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India, with a height of 340 meters. This spectacular waterfall is a remarkable natural wonder.

⦁ Seven sisters Waterfalls: Situated south of Mawsmai village, the Seven Sisters Falls is a striking display of nature. Cascading from a height of 1033 feet over the limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills, this waterfall is most impressive during the rainy season.

⦁ Mawsmai cave: The Mawsmai cave route, open to tourists, is relatively short and very safe, making it a must-see experience. The cave is also renowned for its fossils, which you might spot if you take some time to examine the walls and formations within.

⦁ Arwah cave: Arwah Cave is one of Meghalaya’s most renowned caves and is easily accessible to visitors. It is known for its fossils, which are visible in the well-lit interiors, particularly towards the cave’s end. The limestone walls are adorned with fossilized crustacean shells and fish bones.

Overnight stay in Guwahati

Check out by late morning or early afternoon, depending on your flight timing, your driver will transfer you Airport in Guwahati where the tour ends with lots of memories of the scenic landscapes and majestic waterfalls of Meghalaya and Kaziranga.
