Daywise Itinerary

Day 1. Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, our representative will pick you up and take you to Kaziranga.

⦁ Kaziranga: Kaziranga is the best place for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. The center for endangered species like one-horned rhino and Bengal tigers. It is also a home to elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, and various bird species.

Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 2. Jeep Safari at Kaziranga – Proceed to Shillong

Today explore the Kaziranga National Park and do some activities like;

⦁ Jeep safari. Explore the wildlife of Assam and witness the pride of Assam’s one-horned Rhino, elephant, swamp deer, buffalo, and different species of birds. The price for the safari is payable on the spot.

⦁ Elephant safari: One can experience elephant safari with trained elephants. The biggest advantage of the elephant safari is the availability to approach close to nature. it starts around 6 am – 8 am and at 3 pm-5 pm. One can witness one-horned rhinos, wild water buffaloes, and tigers.

Day 3. Trip to Laitlum Canyon & Jowai Krangsuri waterfall

Today prepare to trek to Laitlum Canyon and Jowai Krangsuri waterfalls.

⦁ Laitlum Canyon: It is also known as the “End of Hills’’, famous for its panoramic views and peaceful surroundings. It is the best place for nature lovers and photographers for the best views of Shillong.

⦁ Jowai Krangsuri waterfall: It is a hidden gem of Shillong, a lesser-known waterfall famous for its blue waters and scenic surroundings.

Day 4. Mawlynnong - Dawki River & Single Root Bridge to Cherrapunji

Today move towards Cherrapunji (55km, 2 hours). On the way visit

⦁ Mawkynnong Village: This village is also known as the “God’s own Garden” and is the cleanest village in Asia. The villagers of the community maintained the village with the beauty of its surroundings and bamboo dustbins. Every villager strictly follows the cleanliness process which led to be Mawkynnong village a model of cleanliness. The people of Mawkynnong are very humble and welcoming to show their way of life and traditions.

⦁ Dawki River: It is located near Dawki town where the Umngot River is famous for its crystal-clear waters which take the boating experience to the next level. The river is crystal clear in winter time as the water level will be lower and the rivers will be at their cleanest, allowing you to see the riverbed.

⦁ Single Root Bridge or Living Root Bridge: In the Khasi and Jaintia hills, there are natural root bridges called ‘’Living root bridges’’. The bridge is made from the aerial roots of rubber trees. The Khasi and Jaintia tribes have made it a steady and grown bridge over the centuries. The single root bridge is referred to as a bridge that is made out of a single root of the tree. The major attraction in Meghalaya attracts tourists from all over the world to witness its natural beauty.

Day 5.Cherrapunji Full-Day Excursion

Today visit the major attractions of Cherrapunji.

⦁ Cherrapunji: It is one of the wettest places in Asia and receives the highest rainfall annually.

⦁ Mawsmai cave: It is famous for its detailed limestone, stalactites, and stalagmites. Unlike other caves in Meghalaya, this cave is easily accessible to any age group. The path of this cave is clear making it easy for people to explore and witness the beauty.

⦁ Nohkalikai Falls: The waterfalls are covered by dense forest and mist which looks extremely beautiful.

⦁ Seven Sisters Falls: It is also known as Nohsngithiang Falls, famous for its unique formation and outstanding view. The Seven sister waterfalls are named after the seven parallel falling waterfalls down a high limestone cliff.

⦁ Mawkdok Dympep Valley View / Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge: This viewpoint offers the panoramic view of Mawkdok Dympep Valley which is surrounded by lush green forest and hills.

Day 6. Cherrapunji – Drop at Guwahati Airport

Check out by late morning or early afternoon depending on your flight timing, your driver will transfer you Airport in Guwahati, for your onwards journey carrying lots of memories of the scenic landscapes of Cherrapunji and Shillong and the wildlife of Kaziranga.
