Daywise Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival And Transfer To Gangtok

The closest station to Sikkim, is New Jalpaiguri Station/Bagdogra Airport/Pakyong Airport, is where the guests will arrive. From there, our representative will greet them and help them to get towards Gangtok. On the way, you will get to see the beautiful rivers like Teesta river, and mesmerizing mountain views.

Teesta River Teesta river rises in Sikkim from the Himalayas, it is an important river that also provides optional river rafting experiences that guests can participate at their own cost on early arrival.

Day 2. Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir Excursion

On day two the visitors will have an exciting day trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. The journey takes about 40 to 50 minutes from Gangtok city which is about 41 Kilometres. It is a must visit place after reaching Gangtok which is one of the main attractions for which people visit this place. Baba Mandir which is also nearby is another often visited place in Gangtok.

⦁ Tsomgo Lake – Tsongmo Lake is one of the main tourist attractions in Gangtok Sikkim. It is a high altitude glacial lake which provides its visitors with scenic beauty and a serene environment. Other activities like Yak ride, Ropeway can be done at your own cost.

⦁ Baba Mandir – It is a shrine built by the Indian Army to give tribute to the brave soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh making an exemplary contribution to the Indian Army. These Shrines have spiritual significance to its locals .

⦁ Nathula pass – Nathula pass is an optional point for the visitors. It is an Indo-China. Border located at an altitude of 4310 meters from the mean sea level. It is one of the important passes between India and China and to go there you need to have permission from the authorities.

Day 3. Gangtok Local Sightseeing

For the third day the guests can visit local places which have cultural as well as spiritual significance for the people of Sikkim. These local sightseeing includes various waterfalls, Temples and Monasteries namely:

⦁ Flower Exhibition Centre – it displays different types of flowers from different parts of Sikkim showcasing the richness of the Sikkim’s flora. Visitors who are nature lovers will enjoy this place especially during the spring season.

⦁ Bakthang Waterfalls – This Natural waterfall is near to Gangtok city, it takes almost 20 minutes to reach .

⦁ Ganesh Tok – This temple has been built for the religious purpose which also offers the visitors the view of snow-capped mountains.

⦁ Hanuman Tok –It is Managed by the Indian Army. This place has a religious and spiritual significance. This place also offers the view of the Kanchenjunga range.

⦁ Ropeway – The guests can also have an adventurous ride in the ropeway offering a beautiful view of Gangtok city.

⦁ Chorten Stupa – It is the most recognisable monastery in Gangtok. This place has a spiritual significance for the locals and for the monks.

⦁ Namgyal Institute of Tibetology – It is Located near Chorten Stupa, it is a Museum which has the ancient scripts and pictures of Tibetans which has a historical significance to the Tibetans.

⦁ Banjhakri Waterfalls – It displays the documents of traditional shamanic healers who worship spirits living in caves.

⦁ Handicraft Centre – Handicraft Centre in Gangtok offers traditional arts and artefacts having historical significance to the people of Sikkim.

⦁ Tashi View Point – from this point the guests can see the mesmerizing beauty of Mount Kanchenjunga and also enjoy the views of sunset and sunrise on a clear day

Day 4. Gangtok to Darjeeling

After doing Breakfast or Lunch, you’ll head towards the queens of the hills of Darjeeling. It will take approx. 5 hours to reach from Gangtok. In the evening, you can explore Chowrasta, where you can find a variety of restaurants were you can try real Nepali cuisine and street food, as well as you can go shopping.

Day 5. Darjeeling Sightseeing

Today, we will explore all the major local sightseeing of Darjeeling which includes.

⦁ Tiger hill– Early morning at 4am to witness the view of sunrise.From tiger hill will get the panoramic views of mount kanchenjunga and mount everest. It is approx. 13 km away from the main city Darjeeling.

While returning from Tiger hill, you will be exploring Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery.

⦁ Batasia Loop– Batasia loop attracts the people for the spectacular views of mount kanchenjunga and other snow capped mountains.

⦁ Ghoom Monastery– Ghoom monastery is another sightseeing point which is near to Bstasia loop .It is approx 6 kms away from the main market of Darjeeling.

⦁ Japanese temples– Japanese temple is a buddhist temple that offers you scenic beauty, or you can meditate and seek inner peace.

⦁ Peace Pagoda– established to give a focal point for people of all races and creeds to assist them unite to achieve global peace.

⦁Padmaja Naidu Zoologic al Park (will be closed on Thursday)- Zoological park is famous for the conservation of endangered species such as leo part, tiger, himalayan black bear,barking deer, many species of bird and Tibetan wolf.

⦁ Ropeway- Experience the beauty of the tea garden and the Himalayas surrounding Darjeeling.

⦁ Tea Garden- Experience the smell of the Tea garden and have a chance to learn the making tea leaves of Darjeeling.

⦁ Tenzing Gumpo Rock-Tensing Gumpo Rock – It is built in honor of the famous Tenzing sherpa for rock climbing and mountaineering lovers.

⦁ Tibetan Refugee Center- Tibetan Refugee is a Self-help Center to learn Tibetan culture and history.

Day 6. Transfer To Bagdogra/NJP/Pakyong/Siliguri

On the last day of the journey the visitors will prepare for their adieu with our representative making sure to give them a comfortable departure. We will safely drop you to the respective places either Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Station/Pakyong Airport/Siliguri.
